Highlights of 2010 and what's in store for 2011

2010 went by in a flash, but looking back we sure did a lot and have a lot to be thankful for. One things for sure, we went on a LOT of trips!

Hawaii (Big Island & Kauai)

Milwaukee

Oregon (We're standing in front of an 800 year old tree. It was amazing!)

New Orleans

Kansas City

Lake of the Ozarks with The Catty Kitchen

In between our many trips we managed to spend hours working on the yard and garden, building an office, spreading 5 cubic yards of mulch, a little hiking, lots of entertaining and spending time with family and much much more...

The new office (converted the screened in porch)

Tried to cut my thumb off just before my birthday luau but still managed to have a great time.

Grew a LOT of pumpkins, acorn squash, tomatoes and zucchini

And to end the year we received letters from EarthDance accepting us into their Organic Farming Apprenticeship Program.

This year we are going to be spending most of our time working with EarthDance but there are a few other things I am also looking forward to...
  • remodel the bathroom
  • new windows
  • build a compost pile
  • do more with less
  • hike more and discover MO
  • live a healthier lifestyle and shed some lbs
  • learn to love myself a little more
  • try to let my hair grow out
  • be more active in the community
  • be creative with our EarthDance CSA share
  • paint the outbuilding
  • lots of misc yard work
  • use less paper towels
  • be less wasteful with food
  • drink less beer

  2. I don't know what's with you two girls, but my goal this year is to drink MORE beer! That is, of course, after Elliot is out of my womb. Pump and dump, pump and dump!

  3. Oh don't worry, I'm not giving it up all together just cutting back having it at home. You can still count on me to have some drinks with you after baby Elliot is born. :)
